On 13 March 2008, WW was awarded the Best in Class symbol from the Storebrand group, a leading player in Norwegian markets for pensions, life and health insurance, banking and asset management.
” We are honoured to receive this award as an appreciation of the work done in our group to improve the envirornment, ” said the newly appointed vice president for public affairs and corporate social responsibility. She also pointed to the responsibility resting with receiving such an award to keep working towards a cleaner environment and to be a frontrunner within environmentally adapted shipping.

An open and extensive environmental reporting was also highlighted as part of the reason. WW was also honoured for its innovative partnerships with research institutes and non-governmental institutions as part of its strive to be on top of environmentally related challenges and solutions.
