Taiwanese Ports

Tropical storm Talim to affect vessel traffic and port operations at all the ports in Taiwan.

Talim is beginning to develop into a significant storm and is predicted to become a category 3 typhoon by Tuesday, 12th September 2100 hrs LT. Landfall is still predicted to be late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning as a category 2 typhoon on the eastern Taiwanese coast. Expect port closures, operation stoppages, power outages, local flooding and tropical storm conditions.

At this moment winds and gusts are reaching up to 80 mph (129 km/h). Talim current position is 18.1 N / 136.1 E and heading WNW at 13 mph (21 km/h).  Currently, Kaohsiung port is still operational with all the services available. Further updates regarding Typhoon development and port operational status will be published in due course.
