The fifth-generation owner of Wilhelmsen, Thomas started his career with the family-controlled company, working as a postman and forklift driver.

In addition to heading up the group management team since 2010, Thomas sits on the boards of several of the group’s companies, including Wilhelmsen Ships Service and Wallenius Wilhelmsen ASA, and is active in several maritime and business-related networks.

Earning a Master of Arts in business from the Heriot-Watt University in Scotland he has also taken executive leadership courses at IMD and Cranfield University in England.

Thomas is a passionate tennis player and a seasoned hunter.

Thomas and associates owns or controls 20 834 624 A-shares and 2 288 460 B-shares in Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA. This represents 49,83% of total shares and 60,33% of voting stock.
