Wilhelmsen Ship Management has been spearheading the regulatory framework and competence required for autonomous shipping in Norway, leading the hydrogen race towards decarbonization, preparing our crew and ship management model for the upcoming changes that will take place very soon. Erik Lyngnes and his team has been working closely with Norwegian Maritime Authority, DNV-GL and University of South-Eastern Norway for the regulatory framework and competence required for autonoumous shipping. He will share the concrete milestones of this project in his session. |

Hydrogen is becoming a viable solution for commercial market. Wilhelmsen has been working closely with Moss Maritime, Equinor and DNV-GL in the design development for a Liquefied Hydrogen (LH2) bunker vessel. Per will unveil some findings and may convince you that Hydrogen is the best non-emission fuel for the near future. |

Changing Ship Operations with LoRa by JOHN HELGE ULSTEINVessel Manager - Wilhelmsen Ship Management Norway
Jon Helge has been working together with Semtech on deploying LoRa WAN (Short for long range) on ships, a digital wireless data communication technology that has revolutionize IoT by enabling data communication over a long range while using very little power. They have successfully installed this technology on one of the vessel he manages and has since reap the benefits of IoT to the fullest. He will share his experience in this exciting journey that will change ship operations and data collection. Ståle Pettersen of Semtech is also co-speaker in this session. |
