“Officially opening the ROC is a milestone in Massterly's history and represents a major step forward for autonomous shipping," says Tom Eysto, CEO of Massterly. "With support from our owners, including our partners ASKO, Yara and Reach Subsea, we are ready to lead the way in this new and exciting direction for the maritime industry."
The ROC in Horten is the monitoring control centre for all Massterly’s autonomous vessels. Today, this includes Yara International's Birkeland, which runs between Yara's factory at Herøya and Brevik, as well as the ASKO boats MS Marit and MS Therese, running between Moss and Horten. In 2024, Reach Remote, a new concept from Reach Subsea within the subsea segment, will also arrive.
