Wilhelmsen Ship Management's in-house magazine

We are pleased to present the bi-annual WManager issue for 2024. As the year comes to an end, we reflect on what has been a truly transformative period for the company, marked by significant milestones and the upcoming leadership transition from current CEO & President, Carl Schou, to Haakon Lenz in January 2025.

This year, we celebrated several achievements that highlight our commitment to growth and adaptability. In March, we completed the acquisition of Zeaborn Ship Management, solidifying our position as Germany's largest ship manager. With over 450 vessels now under our management and an expanded crew pool of 12,800 seafarers, this move reinforces our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the maritime industry.

We also expanded our shared services capabilities with the inauguration of a new office in Mumbai and also added new colleagues in other parts of the world. On the philanthropy front, we had the privilege of meeting the female scholars supported by the Tom Wilhelmsen Foundation, reaffirming our commitment to inclusivity and fostering opportunities within the industry and also highlights of several other initiatives undertaken in Philippines and India.

In addition, we launched iRute Travel, a comprehensive travel management solution tailored specifically for the maritime and corporate sectors. This platform integrates seamlessly with crew management systems, offering enhanced value and personalized travel experiences.

We hope you will enjoy this edition of WManager and wishing everyone a good break ahead.
