Wilhelmsen Ships Service, in collaboration with Welding Greek Institute (WGI), a member of the International Institute of Welding (IIW), proudly announces the launch of the Unitor Welding School in Elefsina, Greece, an initiative designed to set a new benchmark in maritime welding excellence. Operating under the renowned Unitor brand, the school aims to equip maritime professionals with essential skills and compliant practices in maritime welding applications.
With the maritime sector continuously evolving, compliance with industry regulations and best practices in welding is more critical than ever. The Unitor Welding School is designed to provide an introductory course to maritime welding, ensuring that seafarers and shipboard professionals understand the fundamentals of welding in a marine environment. The program emphasizes adherence to international maritime welding standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations, helping participants gain the foundational knowledge necessary for onboard maintenance and repairs.
