Consumables: Sodium sulphite (Na2SO3) is widely used for oxygen scavenging. Sodium sulphite has been found satisfactory at pressures up to about 62 bar (900 psig). Above these pressures decomposition products such as H2S and SO2 can affect steam purity. Monitor and ontrol the sulphite level in your boiler water will be important to ensure corroison protection.
