Marine Products nominated for two Lloyd's List awards
Nominated in the Excellence in Supply Chain Management category our 3D printing program aims to digitalize maritime supply chains. Partnering with Ivaldi Group to deploy additive manufacturing, with a dedicated facility in Singapore, our local micro factory offers on-demand production. Providing 3D printed parts to selected partners as part of an early adopters’ program in Singapore port, 3D Printing of marine parts enables us to reduce both costs and our environmental footprint while also increasing our service capabilities to customers.
Also selected as a finalist, in the Excellence in Data and Technology Innovation category, our innovative Timm Smart Ropes system offers exact load information, in real-time, revolutionizing vessel mooring. Helping to ensure mooring ropes have the right tension, in the right place, at the right time, all the time, our system makes over tensioned lines, premature wear of ropes and in the worst-case scenario unexpected rope failures a thing of the past.
We are extremely grateful to everyone who has worked on both projects and of course the partners and customers who have supported us along the way.
The awards take place 17 October at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore
Marine Products has been nominated for two more awards at the Lloyds List Europe Awards.
