Paal is WSM Malaysia's General Manager responsible for gas and dry bulk fleet management. He's been with us since 2014 and has a breadth of experience that covers marine engineering, naval architecture, technical supervision and newbuilding project management.

Prior to his current role, Paal was WSM's Vice President Manager Region Asia where he was responsible for the technical management of the region's 130 strong fleet. Prior to Wilhelmsen, Paal was the Managing Director of Hoegh LNG Fleet Management where he was responsible for the full  management  of Höegh LNG’s assets. 

Paal is a trained naval architect from Norway's Technical University; he is a director of the Malaysia Norway Business Council and was a member of SIGTTO's general purpose committee from 2011 to 2014.

Paal is currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
