    Egyptian Ports

    The current situation overview at main Egyptian ports.

    • Port of Damietta: all dry bulk berths are occupied, with 20 vessels at anchorage and 18 expected (3-4 days berthing delay for dry bulk cargoes), furthermore there are no delays expected for tanker vessels;
    • Port of Adabiya: only 4 dry bulk berths are occupied, with 5 vessels waiting and 3 expected (2-3 days delay subject to cargo types, cargo readiness and vessel specifications), no delays for tanker vessels;
    • Port of El Dekhila: all dry bulk berths are occupied, with 16 vessels waiting and 9 expected (3-4 days delay subject to cargo sample results for grains);
    • Port of Abu Qir: slight berthing delays are expected, with 6 vessels at anchorage and 1 expected. Berths no. 3 and 4 are still working with half capacity as the port is still being used by offshore vessels engaged in petroleum projects in the Mediterranean Sea.

    All the ports are currently operational with no closures or pilot service suspensions pending.

    Chinese Ports

    Berthing delays for cape-size vessels at main iron ore ports in China.

    • Bayuquan, Huangpu above 7 days with 2-8 cape-size vessels waiting;
    • Xiamen 5-7 days with 8 cape-size vessels waiting;
    • Caofeidian, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Taicang, Nantong, Zhanjiang 3-4 days with 3-8 cape-size vessels waiting;
    • Lanshan, Kemen, Fangcheng 2-3 days with 1-3 cape-size vessels waiting;
    • Dalian, Tianjin, Rizhao, Beilun, Zhoushan 1-2 days with 2-6 cape-size vessels waiting.

    There are no berthing delays for iron ore shipments at the Port of Jingtang. All the main iron ore ports are currently operational with no closures pending. Furthermore, rainfalls are forecast for today, 6th September at Qingdao, Rizhao, Lanshan, Lianyungang, Nantong, Huangpu and Fangcheng.
